1. winding   adjective   

原句: Rogelio Andreo weaved his car along a winding Pacific Coast highway near Big Sur on a clear, moonless night three and a half years ago.

意思: having a curving and twisting shape 

例句: He drives down a long and winding road.


2. moonless   adjective   

原句: Rogelio Andreo weaved his car along a winding Pacific Coast highway near Big Sur on a clear, moonless night three and a half years ago.

意思: without a moon that can be seen 

例句: He likes the moonless sky tonight.



3. peek   verb   

原句: Ariana, gazed through the car's sunroof for a peek at the stars.

意思:
a. to look at sth quickly and secretly because you should not be looking at it
b. to be just visible

字源: late Middle English pike, pyke, of unknown origin. 

例句:
a. I couldn't resist peeking in the drawer.
b. Her feet peeked out from the end of the blanket.



4. exclaim   verb
