1. ancestry   moun [countable/uncountable]   

原句: Middle Eastern populations show multiple sources of ancestry.

意思: the family or the race of people that you come from

字源: Middle English: alteration of Old French ancesserie, from ancestre, from Latin antecessor, from antecedere, from ante ‘before’ + cedere ‘go’. 

例句: He was able to trace his ancestry back over 1 000 years.



2. marauding   adjective

意思: ( of people or animals )  going around a place in search of things to steal or people to attack

5. intricate   adjective
