1. morale   noun [uncountable]   

原句: On an emotional and morale level.

意思: the amount of confidence and enthusiasm, etc. that a person or a group has at a particular time

字源: mid 18th cent.: from French moral. The spelling was changed to preserve the final stress in pronunciation. 

例句: Another win would be good for the team's morale.



2. bandage   noun   

原句: Also pack sunscreen and bandages.

意思: a strip of cloth used for tying around a part of the body that has been hurt in order to protect or support it

字源: late 16th cent.: from French, from bande, of Germanic origin; related to bind. 

例句: He'll be in bandages for a few weeks.



3. wander off   phrase

意思: to decide to do sth important or difficult, especially after thinking about it for a long time 

例句: They finally decided to take the plunge and get married.
