1. leverage   verb   

原句: How can we levergae the power of that and allow people to create something with it?

意思: to get as much advantage or profit as possible from sth that you have 

例句: The company needs to leverage its resources.


2. visibility   noun [uncountable]   

原句: The brand was increasing in visibility.

意思:
a. how far or well you can see, especially as affected by the light or the weather
b. the fact or state of being easy to see

字源: late Middle English: from French visibilite or late Latin visibilitas, from Latin visibilis, from videre ‘to see’. 

例句:
a. The car has excellent all-round visibility.
b. The advertisements were intended to increase the company's visibility in the marketplace.



3. affirm   verb   

原句: She established a short-and-sweet set of guidelines designed to affirm the balance TED has always sought between intellectual freedom and quality control.

意思: to state firmly or publicly that sth is true or that you support sth strongly

字源: Middle English (in the sense ‘make firm’): via Old French from Latin affirmare, from ad- ‘to’ + firmus ‘strong’. 

例句: The decision was affirmed by the Court of Appeal.



4. conclusive   adjective   

原句: So conclusive that the study was terminated prematurely and letters were sent to all the perticipants advising them of the results.

意思: proving sth, and allowing no doubt or confusion

5. terminate   verb
