1. forgo   verb   

原句: Others forgo payment to share views or interests with a large audience.

意思: to decide not to have or do sth that you would like to have or do

字源: Old English forgān (from for- and go). 

例句: No one was prepared to forgo their lunch hour to attend the meeting.



2. elsewhere   adverb  
 

原句: Is not something that exists [elsewhere] on the web today.

意思: in, at or to another place

字源: Old English elles hwǣr 

例句: The answer to the problem must be sought elsewhere.



3. plagiarize   verb   

原句: But he says computers check to be sure nothing is plagiarized or offensive.

意思: to copy another person's ideas, words or work and pretend that they are your own 

例句: He was accused of plagiarizing his colleague's results.



4. bulky   adjective   

原句: Chrysler is using smartphones to replace a car's bulky paper owner's manual.

意思:  
a. large and difficult to move or carry
b. tall and heavy

例句:
a. Bulky items will be collected separately.
b. The bulky figure of Inspector Jones appeared at the door.



5. unveil   verb   

原句: Unveiled a feature over the summer that lets subscribers remotely start or lock their cars from their smartphones and even remotely blink the headlights or honk the horn to find a car in a crowded lot.

意思:
a. to remove a cover or curtain from a painting, statue, etc. so that it can be seen in public for the first time
b. to show or introduce a new plan, product, etc. to the public for the first time 

例句:
a. The Queen unveiled a plaque to mark the official opening of the hospital.
b. They will be unveiling their new models at the Motor Show.
