1. phenomenal   adjective   

原句: It's a phenomenal story.

意思: very great or impressive 

例句: The product has been a phenomenal success.



2. grin   noun  
 

原句: Wore a huge grin on his face.

意思: a wide smile

字源: Old English grennian ‘bare the teeth in pain or anger’, of Germanic origin; probably related to groan. 

例句: She gave a broad grin.



3. demon   noun   

原句: Hamilton overcame his personal demons and reclaimed his baseball gifts.

意思: an evil spirit

字源: Middle English: from medieval Latin, from Latin daemon, from Greek daimōn ‘deity, genius’; in sense 1 also from Latin daemonium ‘lesser or evil spirit’, from Greek daemonion, diminutive of daimōn. 

例句: He is plagued by demons which go back to his traumatic childhood.



4. sheltered   adjective

意思: protected from the more unpleasant aspects or difficulties of life

5. fall in with   phrase

意思: to agree to sth 

例句: She fell in with my idea at once.
