1. reside   verb   

原句: Where more detailed information resides.

意思: to live in a particular place

字源: late Middle English (in the sense ‘be in residence as an official’): probably a back-formation from resident, influenced by French résider or Latin residere ‘remain’, from re- ‘back’ + sedere ‘sit’. 

例句: He returned to Britain in 1939, having resided abroad for many years.



2. trivia   noun [uncountable]  
 

原句: There might be a person that's an expert of trivia or quotes or directors' credits.

意思: unimportant matters, details or information

字源: early 20th cent.: from modern Latin, plural of trivium ‘place where three roads meet’, influenced in sense by trivial. 

例句: We spent the whole evening discussing domestic trivia.



3. plug in   phrase   

原句: We are ... very plugged in there.

意思: to connect a piece of electrical equipment to the main supply of electricity or to another piece of electrical equipment 

例句: Is the printer plugged in?



4. accustomed to   phrase   

原句: For some people who are perhaps very accustomed to where things specifically are on a page.

意思: familiar with sth and accepting it as normal or usual

例句: This was not the kind of behaviour I was accustomed to.



5. roughhouse   verb   

原句: He roughhoused with teammates.

意思: to fight sb or play with sb roughly 

例句: Quit roughhousing, you two!
