1. the limelight   phrase   

原句: She's handled her time in the limelight with incredible grace and dignity.

意思: the centre of public attention

例句: He was never a man to seek the limelight.



2. oval   adjective   

原句: An oval blue sapphire surrounded by diamonds.

意思: shaped like an egg

字源: mid 16th cent.: from French, or modern Latin ovalis, from Latin ovum ‘egg’. 

例句: The handle is oval in shape.



3. daunting   adjective   

原句: Even as she aknowldged the idea of being queen was "a daunting prospect.".

意思: feel nervous and less confident about doing sth 

例句: She has the daunting task of cooking for 20 people every day.



4. hail as   phrase   

原句: That's partly why she's being hailed as the perfect match for media-phobic William and his complicated family.

意思: to describe sb/sth as being very good or special, especially in newspapers, etc 

例句: The conference was hailed as a great success.



5. correspondent   noun   

原句: Royals correspondent for The Mail on Sunday and author of William and Harry.

意思:
a. a person who reports news from a particular country or on a particular subject for a newspaper or a television or radio station
b. a person who writes letters to another person

字源: late Middle English (as an adjective): from Old French correspondant or medieval Latin correspondent- ‘corresponding’, from the verb correspondere, from cor- ‘together’ + Latin respondere, from re- ‘again’ + spondere ‘to pledge’. 

例句:
a. She's the BBC's political correspondent.
b. He was a vivid and witty correspondent.
